Manufacturing Validation
[This page describes how to use SKYREAL for manufacturing validation workflows. Content is based on the platform's capabilities and typical manufacturing scenarios.]
What is Manufacturing Validation in SKYREAL?
Manufacturing validation in SKYREAL lets you test assembly processes, workstation layouts, and operator accessibility in a virtual environment before committing to physical changes. By simulating real-world conditions in VR, you can identify issues early and reduce costly rework.
Typical Workflow
-
Import your CAD — Upload your workstation, assembly line, or factory layout into CAD Forge.
-
Create an experience with the relevant CAD subsets.
-
Place manikins — Add human manikins to your scene to represent operators.
-
Calibrate body dimensions — Use Body Calibration to match the manikin to real operator measurements.
-
Simulate assembly tasks — Use Manipulation (fast grab or compass) to move parts and test assembly sequences.
-
Run ergonomic analysis — Use MSD Analysis and Ergonomic Sessions to assess posture risks (RULA scoring).
-
Test with physics — Enable physics to check gravity, collisions, and mechanical behavior.
-
Check collisions — Use Show Collisions to identify interference between parts.
-
Use tools — Equip virtual tools (wrenches, screwdrivers) to simulate operator tasks.
-
Document findings — Annotate issues, take screenshots, and export reports.
